Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winners, Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey’s (Next to Normal) If/Then is making it’s UK premiere in concert at The Savoy Theatre starring Kerry Ellis, Adam Garcia, John Owen-Jones, David Hunter and Preeya Kalidas.
Ever wondered “what if”? What if one decision altered the trajectory of your entire life? In If/Then, one everyday decision fractures Elizabeth’s (Kerry Ellis) life into two parallel paths. As both realities play out, Elizabeth must grapple with the complexities of chance, choice and consequence, to ultimately shape her own destiny.
Show Synopsis The staged concert will star Kerry Ellis (Wicked; Anything Goes; We Will Rock You; Les Misérables), Adam Garcia (Wicked; Chitty Chitty Bang Bang UK Tour; “Coyote Ugly”) , David Hunter (Waitress; Kinky Boots), John Owen-Jones (Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera) and Preeya Kalidas (Bend It Like Beckham; “EastEnders”).
If/Then in concert will be directed by award-winning West End director Bill Buckhurst (101 Dalmatians The Musical; Sister Act; The Time Traveller’s Wife), with musical staging by Olivier Award nominee Alistair David (Kiss Me, Kate; Show Boat) and music direction by Michael England (Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera).
If/Then is a story that must be told and this one-night-only event is an experience that cannot be missed.
Kerry Ellis, to star as Elizabeth, declared “What a dream. The music is so beautiful and so moving, and to hear it in concert at the Savoy Theatre is going to be magical. And to perform this role is beyond thrilling.”
“If/Then is a very special and personal show, filled with some of my favourite songs that Brian and I have written together. I couldn’t be more thrilled that it will be having its UK concert debut with this phenomenal group of artists, led by the incredible Kerry Ellis.” – Tom Kitt
“I’m thrilled that West End audiences will get to experience If/Then in concert. It’s a show and a set of songs that are very personal to Tom and me, and we’re honoured to have this group of fabulous singers bring them to life.” – Brian Yorkey
